Style3D Supports Great Escapes to Improve Competitiveness for Outdoor Garments

There is an interview with Arturo Milani, owner and CEO of Great Escapes. The genuinely sustainable Italian brand, which was born in 1987 in Lecco, founded by CAL, (Lombard Clothing Center) under the suggestion of two mountaineers, Antonio Peccati and Pietro Corti, offers versatile outdoor garments that are perfect for any outdoor experience: from urban outings to hiking summits, from alpine skiing to mountain climbing.

The new Essenziale line is designed for sports, leisure, and professional activities. The garments are technical, comfortable, practical, and easy to care for—while keeping a minimalist style. They are suitable for city life, bike and scooter commutes, or other travel means. This casual and chic City/ Outdoor concept is well appreciated in Europe and Asia. Above all, “these, and other innovations, are the results of our experience,” explains Arturo Milani, “90% of the ideas come from customers and retailers, from market feedback.”

Great Escapes has adopted Style3D and invested in training and content creation to entirely produce a new catalog using virtual garment renders, instead of photoshoots.“My goal is to centralize all the styles on a single platform and automatically generate the catalogs to present the products virtually to the customers wherever they are, and interact with them.” Arturo Milani said.

Market your products with dynamic catalogs.

Great Escapes’ collection consists of several hundred pieces per season. Assembling catalogs is complex and expensive. Staging the products is not always possible. Every client has their own requirements, making it impossible to produce dedicated client shoots. With 3D renders, assembling product presentations is dynamic and fast.

Eliminate several sampling steps.

The brand factored in that their production partner, High Hope, has already adopted Style3D and is very satisfied. The manufacturer is up and running with 3D prototyping. “We are very close to validating the pre-production prototype with 3D,” adds Mr. Milani.

Be reactive, modify in no time.

Customers often request modifications, like altering an elastic width by two centimeters. With 3D renders it is possible for designers to modify products in real time with a client. Updates become easy and interactive. It’s a great advantage.

Avoid mistakes, centralize information.

With traditional development, constant sketch revisions are difficult. The risk of making costly mistakes is very high. With Style3D’s platform, all information is centralized and the risk of errors is significantly reduced.

Search for trends and suppliers.

Style3D’s marketplace gathers many textile/clothing industry players. It is a supplier platform for researching new trends, fabric, accessories, and 3D asset vendors. Great Escapes intends to leverage this new source of information and forecasting.
